Deji - Deji Special on Tokio Hotel - Humanoid

10th of June

Humanoid - an automaton that resembles a human being. (nice choice Tokio Hotel) If i am not mistaken, Bill and Tom Kaulitz (Frontman/Vocalist and Guitarist respectively) chose this name for their second English album because since young, they adored robots. The other band members are Gustav Schafer (drummer) and Georg Listing (bassist). They did 25 songs but only 16 tracks made the list of Humanoid (congratulations). To be frank, they made Automatic the first single to attract people's attention. Not to mention the catchy beat (sorry, not that catchy) but the creativity of the usage of instruments and the arrangements. Being a glam rocker is not an easy task. Because you do not have a wide range to release songs of the same genre. But this amazing German group made it. They made it! Basically, most of the songs i came across were about how they got hurt in their first love. So it is a nice album for those who had their heart broken but has nothing to do with it. Only to listen to their songs and think about the past. Yeap~! Totally is. From Automatic, to the Pain of Love, to Forever Now, to Love and Death (recommended). And yes, i do see they are resemblance in Tokio Hotel and in Adam Lambert. But what the heck, Glam Rockers Rock~!

I'll go with the song list now.

I. Noise
I dare say that they made the best decision for setting this song as the introduction (no no, the song is not an interlude). They arranged this song in a good way, very good for a grand opening of an album. Basically this song is about asking people to voice their own heart, let people to know the real you. Making noise to make yourself visible. It's a good song for building confidence in you.

II. Dark Side of the Sun
Starting of the song, violin intro (which makes the song worth listening into). Then Bill made an entrance with his ever devilish vocal. In my opinion, it's about fighting in the dark, if you work really hard, the sun will shine for us. Yeap! I know. Tokio Hotel is here to make us feel better for ourselves.

III. Automatic
The first single that made onto your stereo as soon as the Humanoid album was released. This song is like, we got hurt from the start. Well, hurt from the beginning till the end, but no matter what happens, we will still be in love with the automatic heart. Bill definitely pull off the "There's no REAL love in you". With his devilish voice (again), it definitely fit in with the song. Bravo Bill~
About the video (which released in the month of September back in 2009), there were 2 robots (with the logo of the Tokio Hotel) having romance feelings for each other. Enough said, no spoiler here. Definitely download-worth for the song's lover since Bill changed his style, from lion head to straight. Even Tom dyed his hair.

IV. World Behind My Wall
Piano introduction. It's a song when people come across on the radio, they wouldn't have the urge to change the station but to sit back, relax and try to learn the meaning of the lyrics. Basically Bill wrote this to talk about his Life being a celebrity. The World Behind My Wall is a World that you wouldn't understand until you have faith in yourself. A nice song indeed. It was a good choice for making this song a single to sell of his Humanoid album.

V. Humanoid
This is the song that made to the cover of the album. He is sick of the reality where he can see no sense in the world. People are getting really fake now right? So he experience mental fall right now. And needed someone to save him. A rockish song which is nice on bass. There were a couple of parts which attract me to repeat this song for like, forever... For example,

I've thrown myself in too many worlds
Foolish and I know, Loneliness hurts
Hold me I'm drowning, Hold me

Give me something that I can feel it
Show me something that I can see
Help me. help me, help me

These two verses are kinda different from the beginning, which has a little softness in the voice of Sir Bill Kaulitz. Very nice song indeed.

VI. Forever Now
losing your faith huh? and no one's helping you? this is a song for it. I mean, no matter what happen, when you feel that this world is nothing more and nothing less with or without you around, there must be someone there for you. To hold you and to pull you up when you are in a black hole.

VII. Pain of Love
Been looking forward to write about this song. This is a song where Bill wrote about his first love. He got hurt in the end. I mean, when it doesn't end good, the love is pain right? So what for we're staying back, because the both of us don't belong together. But basically, i think Bill wanted his first love to remember him.

VIII. Dogs Unleashed
a nice song on bass. See, most of the dogs with owners are dogs leashed. You have to follow the orders of your master, or else you're dead for no reason. But we are human, we don't swallow commands and lies, we wanted to feel alive for some reason. We wanted to breathe the air of freedom, trying to escape.

IX. Human Connect to Human
i myself i never really liked this song that much... it's like singing about connection between people.

X. Hey You
ah~ this song reminds me a lot of We Will Rock You of 5ive... yeap~! the beat and everything. But just some parts are resemblance to them. Um, how should i say this, i normally skip this track, but if it's on bass, i'll listen to them~

XI. Love and Death
Totally love the intro... very different from what they had before. Then in the Chorus, Bill totally rock his own song. His vocal is very good in this song. Don't mess with his heart though... i love

I've bee watching you swim
I'll just seeing you drown
As a tragedy of comedy
Totally means a lot~!

XII. Zoom Into Me
another version of "Broken Open" by Adam Lambert. I love both songs, don't get me wrong. It's a very emotional song i might add. It's like, you're alone but i will be there for you.

All you guys who are into rock music should buy this album and blast it on a stereo.

I'll rank it shall i?

8 .5 over 10~
