oh well, oh yea... Saturday, i could say it was the BEST night of my Sem 3.. no wait, the BEST night was the night when i was with my beloved for solid 5 Days... (PS. I Love You)...
um.. UTAR was having this Karaoke competition and i attended it... 5 bucks for 6 hours of entertainment... without second thought, i went...
first... i went a little camwhoring in my room because i blew dried my hair in the Rock'n'Roll Circus pattern... and huala...
i just have to go home and use my mummy's hot rollers to make the lower part grow in a little bit... (part of the reason that i wanted to be back at Kuantan to be daddy's little PRINCESS)~!
then i put on the singlet (the black singlet my mum bought for me for my 2007 new year... mum likes to see me in singlet, until she sees me in my two world skin tone), my favourite WHITE pants (thanks to mummy again) and my RED jacket... off i went to Grand Kampar hotel...
Mango juice... (by the way, i like the fruit, not the juice) (a little off topic here... my top 5 favourite Fruits - Grapes, Mango, Mangosteen, Watermelon and Durian) yeap... Grand Kampar Hotel's Cafe.... very nice environment ... but the food? I'll be the judge of that...
i ordered the Grilled Chicken Chop with Barbequed Sauce... it was... A-Okay, not as good as Vegas' Western Food... it was... overall, nice.. i paid 2 RED notes and off we went to UTAR's Heritage Hall...
i wasn't expecting a stage like American Idol, but the back drop... uh.... uh ... i like the mic (phew, that was a good compliment) i seriously like the Microphone (Tell me why, Tell me why, i don't know, i don't know, i won't tell you why)
and it took us like.... 1 hour's time to get them to start the show... i was a bit looking forward to the ... High School Musical (We're All In This Together) Performance, i was about to see the same dance moves as i did 3 years ago.. like the Pull Pull Stomp, Clap, Pull Pull... something like that if i remembered the dance moves...
but then...
they CUSTOMIZED IT~! with some of the same dance moves but .... they did it... very awkwardly...
second contestant, my tutorial mate...
Jeffery... he sang 新不了情 by 萧敬腾... it was nice...
very weird... but it's okay... then i waited till... a song that was familiar with me... the contestant number 4... his name is Max... which is the only contestant that i supported... he sang 黑色幽默by 周杰伦... not a bad one.. he can pull it off..
then a contestant which happens to be Jeff's friend... 爱错 by 王力宏.. one of my favourite song from 王力宏 apart from 安全感，心跳，一首简单的歌... those are nice songs from Sir 王力宏...
(tuned my Winamp to 心跳... miss that song...)
um.... then... there was a contestant... a Tomboy i should add... she sang a song named Hurt by Christina Aguilera... i was expecting nice vocal from this girl since choosing a Christina Aguilera, you must be a VERY GOOD singer, her notes were hard to hit by... then i listen... yea, she can hit the notes, but then.... there was something missing...
then the judges said... "have you ever been hurt before"
BAM~! Bingo~ that was what missing... the feeling... she sang like she's never been hurt before... oh well, this is a nice song... it was a song... well... spare the detail.. moving on...
ah~! the BEST part of the Competition.. the dance came up with a performance... a parody of... Who...? 王祖蓝~!
at first i didn't know it'll be him... because when poker face came on, i was expecting to see some blondie up on the stage with one funky outfit... but it turned out to be a GUY~!!!!!!!!!!!
and then i heard my idol's voice... damn, it was cool~~!!!!!!~! he did the dance moves like 祖蓝 in all those clips... i love him~!
then then... it was the parody of Nobody by Wonder Girls... 3 guys went on stage and they were grooving.... then, it was Taeyang's Wedding Dress... nope, it wasn't Korean version of Wedding Dress, it was an English rip-off version... if ever the dance moves were more natural, it might be very nice...
then ... after they announced the top 5 contestant, i was happy to see that Max was in it.... and he won't the Mr. Popularity... very nice indeed...
nail biting moment... the announcement of the result...
the third goes to some student with nice choreography in his Rock'n'Roll session... then the second goes to Jeff's friend... and MAX won the first... damn, i supported the right guy... but who cares, he can sing~!
